Natural monuments are single formations of living (animate) and non-living (inanimate) nature or their clumping with their special environmental, scientific, cultural, historic or landscape value and characterizing with individual features distinguishing them among other creatures, f.ex. monumental trees.
In the Lubuskie province 1785 nature monuments are registered (1 January 2006) and 42 of them are on the area of Sulechów Sub-district: 32 trees, 7 groups of trees, one erratic block and two surface monuments. Among the most precious we can single out the surface monuments "Dancing Pines" and "Ancient Sosina" which protect the oldest pine tree stands of nearly 200 years old.
