NATURA 2000 AREAS
European Ecological Network Natura 2000 is a kind of system of areas connected one with each other by ecological corridors. These areas form together a coherent ecological network, of which basic task is prevention of biodiversity. It happens through protection of the most valuable and the most rare nature elements.
On the land of the forest district the following six "Nature 2000" areas are located (2 912.65 ha):
● PLB080004 The Valley of Middle-Odra River. Area: 1 386.19 ha;
● PLH080012 Kargowa Bends of the River Odra. Area: 878.38 ha;
● PLH080028 The Nowa Sól Valley of Odra River. Area: 11,68 ha;
● PLH080067 Gryżyna River Trough. Area: 163.25 ha;
● PLH080043 Sulechów. Area: 0.10 ha;
● PLH080028 The Krosno Valley of Odra River. Area: 484.83 ha.
